Women’s golf

By Tatura Guardian

On a wet, rainy, chilly day with the mercury barely above six degrees, nine women braved the elements to play the stroke, monthly medal round. This event is sponsored each month by Drummond Golf and Newton’s Parcel Service and was a day to count the putts and record the fourth round of the Hill Top Brooch.

Sue Turnbull had the best round with 75 nett, winning the monthly medal, the Drummond voucher and nearest-to-the-pin on the third, taking home the Blossoms with Love prize.

Runner-up was Roylyn Harris with 78 nett.

Balls were given to Sheryl Curran, Terri Wangeman 81, Di Day 84 and Heather Long 86 nett.

Nearest-the-pins: 6th Tatura Hot Bread, Terri Wangeman; 9th Café Alofa, Di Day; 14th One-4-One Café, Sheryl Curran.

Sadly this is the final report in the Tatura Guardian, with further reports to be published in the Shepparton News and online.

Wednesday’s Event: Stableford; Sponsor: Soak, Silver Spoon.
