IF YOU’RE a fan of country you won’t want to miss the Travelling Family Country Show when it rolls into Ky next week.

The Kyabram Bocce Club will be transformed into a mini-Tamworth filled with country classics.

Featuring Jeff and Lyn Brown, the Jamieson family and our very own Reg Poole, fans are sure to be entertained.

“It’s great to have them all coming to my hometown, the Jamiesons are doing a big trip so it’s good to have them stop in,” Reg Poole said.

“They’ll be going from Rockhampton to Tasmania and then they’re making their way back up to Tamworth for the country music festival.”

Reg said the event is sure to be a hit thanks to the enthusiasm of locals.

“Country music can be a tough company to be in at times, but there’s such great support in the Kyabram area which is just terrific,” he said.

“The family will be singing some Jamieson originals which they’ve won Golden Guitars for but they’ll also be performing covers of some well-known songs.

“They’re bringing their daughter Caitlyn along and she’s really blossomed into a great performer over the past couple of months.

“She plays guitar and fiddle among other things so it’s great to have someone so versatile with us for the performances.”

The Travelling Family Country Show is coming to the Kyabram Bocce Club on January 16.

Tickets are available for $20 from Rae on 0400987968. Doors open at 6pm for a 7.30pm show, guests can pick up tickets on the night.
