Benalla locals are being encouraged to get a taste of international cuisine at the Benalla Racing Club when it hosts a food truck festival on Friday, December 8.
The festival is the second to be held in Benalla and will feature multiple types of world cuisines from an array of food trucks as well as kids rides, carnival rides and live music.
Some of the foods trucks that will be there include ‘‘El Chivi’’ a Uruguayan steak specialist, ‘‘Gringo Grill’’ offering a latin American food experience, and one of Melbourne’s most famous food trucks, ‘‘A white guy cooks Thai’’.
Festival director Danny Grant said these events have been knows to draw more than 20000 people and he hopes for a great turn out in Benalla.
‘‘We started the Food truck Festival in South East Melbourne,’’ Mr Grant said.
‘‘We had been to a couple of food trucks and thought how awesome it would be to make it a festival, now we’re travelling around Victoria doing just that.’’
Entry to the event is free and all food is competitively priced.
