The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing support for people with disability, their families and carers in Australia.
The NDIS will partner with experienced and qualified organisations who have a strong local knowledge and an understanding of what people with disability or developmental delay across our country need.
In the Deniliquin district, Intereach has been engaged by Social Futures as the Local Area Coordination partner throughout the Murrumbidgee and Far West NSW area.
To ensure you get the most accurate information about the NDIS, Intereach is holding a free NDIS information session in Deniliquin this Friday.
It will will be held at the Intereach Deniliquin Neighbourhood Centre in Trickett St, Deniliquin on from 11am to 12.30pm.
The information session is designed to offer people general information about the NDIS, and will cover topics such as:
●What is the NDIS and how does it work?
●Who is eligible and when can the scheme be accessed?
●What kind of support can be accessed through the NDIS?
●Where can I get more information?
A light lunch will be provided and transport can be arranged for those who require assistance to attend.
Intereach Linkers will be available to assist people with NDIS registration queries and forms.
To book a place, email LAC.Murrumbidgee@ndis.gov.au or phone 1800522679.
