Greater Shepparton Heritage Advisory Committee nominations open

Greater Shepparton City Council is accepting nominations from people interested in joining the Greater Shepparton Heritage Advisory Committee.

Advising the council on cultural heritage matters across Greater Shepparton, the community representative positions are voting members of the committee and are appointed for a two-year term.

City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Kim O’Keeffe is encouraging all with an interest in local heritage and history to submit a nomination.

‘‘We have recently seen the success of the heritage open days and the cultural heritage awards. If you want to be involved in the planning and execution of events like these, please apply.’’

Committee meetings are held on the first Monday of every month or at other times as determined necessary. These will start in August this year and end in July 2021.

Nomination forms can be lodged electronically or by hard copy and are available on the council website at greatershepparton. com.au or in the foyer of at 90 Welsford St, Shepparton.

Nominations close on Friday, May 31 at 9am.
